What Keywords Are People Searching For to Find Us on Google?Posted: January 26, 2012
I admit that despite saying the Google Panda updates are more about authority than about content, certainly one way to show authority is through lots of expertise-driven informative content. Due to all the posts we’ve made here, we’ve been getting quite a lot of search traffic from a wide variety of terms.
Here are some of the terms that people reached our blog through on Google just today:

I can tell some of these searches would be reaching an article that isn’t exactly answering their query (we don’t have an article about icloud.co for example). That said, on Alexa the average time on site shows 2:46, so it would seem at least most visitors have been fully reading the article they landed on.
As much as we’ve answered just about every domain question imaginable here already and providing a huge wealth of our knowledge, most people only have one domain question at a time. In fact, most people don’t focus at all on the domain unless they have a problem with the one they registered. Once they get the information they’re looking for, they may not need to read anything more here.
Part of why we made this blog however is to get more people interested enough in domain names to read further and learn more about them. There are literally tens of thousands of mistakes we see daily just in terms of poor domain registrations, and many who are making those mistakes are setting themselves up for a major struggle to succeed online.
If you manage to make it to this post from a Google search, read more. Look at our latest recap of 101 domain topics covered and read anything that jumps out at you. Domains are truly one-of-a-kind and ultimately prove to be fascinating to anyone who looks deeply enough at them.
